Playing Career

Troy excelled as a standout player at Northeast High School, boasting career averages of 19 points and 12 rebounds as a 6-foot guard. His senior year saw him lead the CNC league in dunks, achieve multiple games with 10+ blocks, and even shatter a backboard. Despite a setback due to a shattered wrist during college, Troy completed his bachelor’s degree at Kent State University in Ohio.
Broadcasting and Coaching

Following a decorated career in major market morning radio, Troy's passion for basketball drew him back into the game. For over a decade, he served as a Lead Instructor for Breakthrough Basketball, conducting camps nationwide and earning accolades as one of their top-rated instructors based on player and parent surveys.
Player Development

Notably, Troy has significantly influenced Kansas high school basketball, developing a renowned shooting system and mental training regimen. Initially crafted to propel his son Nic to success as an undersized guard at Olathe South, the system has since guided two other players over the next six years. The results are striking: four state championships, nearly 3000 points scored, 428 three-pointers made, two Sunflower League Player of the Year titles, and four Sunflower League scoring titles. All three players achieved First Team All-State Honors in Kansas and set multiple shooting and scoring records at their schools. Notably, one player topped Division I basketball in three-point shooting percentages, while another commenced her career at Yale University.

Today, Troy's expertise continues to flourish as a player development professional with our 4D Hoops Program, fostering the next generation of record-breaking shooters.
